The goals and aims of an organisation are essential for establishing the direction, priorities and defining what is acceptable. As a result of this, as an example of digital transformation, management, entrepreneurism and innovation, a value reflective of the impact. Figures with other industries will be used to illustrate the value which can be created via technology.

Due to technology, platforms and outlets provide the opportunity to make an impact upon dialogue, resulting in a great amount of responsibility, which is where training and education becomes essential, to prevent unintentionally misleading and influencing.

Education as a sector and industry contributes more than money to the lives of people, it provides the tools to access potential within ourselves. Christian Humanism is the belief that all advances in technology, knowledge and freedoms must be used to serve Humanity for the Glory of God. With this in mind, I quote Psalm 23.

Psalm 23, A psalm of David - "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

A remembrance of God is necessary in all aspects of life life, as a lust and pursuit of material success without a solid balanced foundation may result in detriment. This is perhaps most necessary in business, as money, desperation, emotions and credibility of information can combine to disastrous effects. In everyday life we hear stories of betrayal, theft and so on, as a result of the wanton pursuit of financial and personal gratification. For example, befriends attempting to sabotage one another for a promotion, families being broken apart due the influence of money or viewing putting the lives of people at risk as an occupational hazard. It should be expected as a part of growth that mistakes will be made, with circumstances dictating choices and what may appear possible or the only choice. However, as these circumstances change, it is now that the reflection and changes may take place; reflected in 1 Corinthians 13:11

1 Corinthians 13:11 - When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

An amateur professional is unprofessional while a professional amateur is a fraud. Aspiring towards something is to be commended and supported in all the best ways possible, whereas an approach to focusing of honesty and giving the glory to God will enable the focus to be placed of the craft, service and quality, rather than gratification. A failure to do so will eventually result in exposure, resulting in communities becoming clown town. This therefore is a loving arm around the shoulder, providing guidance and knowledge required to make the best choices. Performative activism is not possible when speaking out comes at a cost, therefore freedom and life is at risk when speaking the truth.

By committing to something, aiming to the best at and professional, there is similarity and parallels between a marriage, a commitment to love, protect, support, honour and respect a partner until death. What a step up in responsibility and difficulty requires is an increase in commitment and skill, for example learning from the mistakes of the past and learning new skills which are required for the job, as there are others dependent on the performance of the leader. It is with this mindset that the commitment to conduct business as a professional is taken, as a the period as a bachelor is taken to learning the trade and make mistakes, by stepping up and becoming a master, it is expected that accountability will be taken and resolutions sought for those errors, while elevating skill level to solve new problems. It is due to this reason that taking the difficult path is sought (Matthew 7:13-14)

Matthew 7:13-14 - “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

A coward fails to take responsibility for their actions and passes the responsibility, burden and blame on to those less qualified, supported and unprepared to deal with, it therefore essential for the most appropriate training and support to be provided to all those who require it. Equity is the provision of the unique specifics required for an individual's success, equality is the treatment of all people the same. Equity in this case is created through action and application in order to achieve a goal or reach a destination, with the tool in this case being the application of knowledge and education.

Redundancy is the state of something no longer being required, with employees losing jobs as they may become obsolete or no longer required due to changes in circumstances. Due to the nature of employment and the need for money to survive and live a fulfilling life, people rightfully protect their jobs and livelihoods. Therefore it is not the aim to redundancies, but provide the chance for people to upskill and gain the skills which can enable them to deal with any potential setbacks. Using an educational, financial, social, or any advantage to the detriment of those without such advantage is cruel and not using the gift to the glory of God and can be taken away at any point. Digital transformation has the potential to force obsolesce, however it has an equally if not larger potential to create opportunities and increase equity. This therefore is the beginning of a commitment for the next 30 years to work towards improve the access to funding and knowledge, with the course on Corporate Venturing acting as a foundation and opportunity to turn such ideas into reality. The aim therefore, is to do something will be universally respected, regardless of social status, financial position, political alignment or other variables.

The opportunity to give back, is not only through monetary means, providing something which shows a change in behaviour for the better, an acknowledgement of the effort invested and other means exist, therefore by living in a manner which inspires and provides opportunities is the main aim. This is relevant as private equity and venture capital as sources of finance and investment vehicles used to create opportunities and be examples of trickle down economics.
